Location: Club Phoenix, M13 9RN, [ Map ]
It's Cosplay Time!! This year we are going to have two cosplay parties, first being just before Christmas break. It'll be in Club Phoenix which is by the University Precinct/Blackwells (above The Phoenix pub) for those who don't know from 9pm - 2am
It'll be a fun night of Japanese music (i'm sure a requests thread will go up so you can request in advance) and lots of dancing and having fun.
If you're in cosplay (which i hope most people will be) then it'll be £1 entry
No cosplay but with MUJS card then entry is £2
No cosplay or MUJS card then entry is £4
There will be prizes for best cosplay etc. so make sure to come along and tell all your friends ^_^
Edit: Just to remind everyone also to not bring any real or replica weapons, and any props should be made out of sensible materials. Also make sure to bring ID

Hmm, two cosplay parties and several complex fursuits around that time. I think this calls for a re-use of a past costume. Much as I want to cosplay Orochimaru, not enough time/energy/money.
I'll be extremely boring and do Itachi, Sasuke or Sebastian again since I've got those costumes to hand.

I am buying a particular item of clothing for the Halloween party. It will cost quite a bit for one party, but luckily I can re-use it here. In fact, it may be the THIRD time I use the item...

I'm so tempted to do Deidara again - but with a better wig if my Utena costume falls through seeing as I have to make a sword

I have seen a flyer in a shop and I really want to come to your Christmas cosplay party (not in cosplay unfortunately, because I am French and my costumes are at home). I would like to know the MUJS a little more before the party, can you tell me when and where to meet some of you?

And as for where to meet us all the events are naturally on the events forum. The next would be the screening on Friday. If you're a student then no problem but if not it might be best to send a pm to a committe member to make sure that you can get into the union.
