Hmm,they've got an option to pay by Google Checkout - which I can't use. How do I pay?

If you want to use Maestro you have to e-mail them for the special link to pay by maestro (as they can only process a certain number of payments this way apparently) or you have to send a cheque in the post

It's in the email they sent to everyone saying that registrations are open but it's registrations@amecon.org

just put "Maestro Payment: (your order number)" in the subject line, and they will provide you with the details to pay by Maestro.

I like it when accomodation and registration are not tied together stick out tongue I prioritised getting a room onsite over paying my reg fee, according to my reg e-mail the dealine for me is the 9th March, so well after payday and all good.

Having en-suite is definately quite nice for post-furry sweatiness, and at only £20 it's quite reasonable.

Paying for two conventions at the same time left quite a dent in my coffers tho :/

In a shock move that is bound to stun and horrify you all in equal measures, I'm now registered and paid up (Judy too if she puts her money where her mouth is). En suit, requested near other MUJS.

I've regged and paid too, despite it telling me I had until 10pm last night to do so.

I'll book a room when I have more cash. Thinking I might just do 2 nights Sat-Mon, and just stay up all Friday wasted (checkin is at 9am apparantly, bed time like).

I finally got round to paying for my registration but there was a slight problem with it.

Stupid google checkout has allowed me to pay with an old card, payment accepted and all that. So now I've had to send them an e-mail since I'm not paying for it again if this one went through, but also I don't want them accusing me of trying to commit fraud or something.

I've just signed up and paid, albeit without acommodation for now. I must have caught it between the time when they chuck off all the idiots who think "signing up" for a con is like clicking "like" on a Facebook group, and the registration filling up with more such idiots.

Finally booked my accommodation!

I'll be driving down at 3pm on the Friday if anybody needs/wants a lift. I'll be leaving Sunday evening though.

I emailed asking about cooknig facilities at ame and got this response:

Quote:
The kitchen facilities will not be available in the accommodation blocks during AmeCon as unfortunately during vacation the kitchens are not stocked as it is the students that provide the equipment for cooking and the oven equipment etc in there is isolated over this time period.

There will be places open to eat on the campus throughout the event and a full English breakfast is included with your bedroom booking.

Just so everyone knows in advance. I dunno about common areas though, they might be open.

I presume by "kitchen equipment" they mean cutlery, oven trays, etc. I doubt students provide their own ovens.

This means that the gas/electric is turned off.

Ah, good point. The remaining question is, will there be microwaves?
